Portable sets his sights high on a mission for Grammy glory.

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola known widely as Portable, recently shared his ultimate ambition in the music industry.
He emphasized that his sense of accomplishment would only be complete if he secures a Grammy. Furthermore, Portable expressed that his aspirations go beyond just general Grammy recognition.

He specifically aims to triumph in the African category, reflecting his dedication to representing African music on a global scale. Additionally, Portable addressed the limitations of local awards, highlighting that these awards are often compromised.

He firmly believes that his vocal abilities surpass those of many of his colleagues.
In a recent interview with content creator Timi Agbaje, Portable discussed these aspirations.

My ultimate goal in the music industry is to win a Grammy. I will only feel accomplished if I win a Grammy. I want to win the African category.

“I want to win an international award because our local awards are compromised. I sing better than most of my colleagues. A lot of them use autotune. They can’t perform with live band or sing good music. They can’t make conscious music.”
