Making Music Is About Contribution And Not Competition – Okyeame Kwame to fellow Musicians.

Ghanaian musician, Kwame Nsiah-Apau known by his stage name Okyeame Kwame, has admonished colleague musicians not to encourage the trend of competing each other in the music industry.

According to the Rap Doctor, making music should be about contributing something positive to the society and not dissing your fellow artist that has nothing to do with the society. He made this known during an interview with Lexis Bill on the  Joy FM “Drive Time Show”,
He said “when l was young, l thought it was competition, but l grew up and realized it’s contribution. So if you competing with these young ones and you want to become special.

When you grow up, you know it’s not special, it’s about being different. So many musicians play music over a hundred years ago, but when you are driving on the Spintex road, you still see a billboard of Ephraim Amu, it tells you something that, if you really want your act to stay for a longer time, then you should be act for the people”, he said.

He admonished his colleague musicians to make music about contributing to something positive to the society and not competing with each other.
